Collection Tech II Pay Rate: $13.35/hour
Collection Spec II Pay Rate: $19.52/hour

Responsibilities:

Conduct health history interviews, and determine donor eligibility and provide donor care during the collection of blood units. Perform phlebotomies in a regulated environment. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive, professional image of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services. Work independently with attention to detail and maintain full knowledge of all aspects of the daily collection operation.

Collection Tech II Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or phlebotomy training, documented satisfactory performance as Collection Technician I or the equivalent experience is required.

Collection Specialist II Qualifications:

RN/LPN or equivalent experience is required with current state licensure as required. Minimum one year of experience or documented satisfactory performance in Collections Specialist I position is required.

Qualifications for Collection Tech and Specialist II

Customer service experience, effective verbal communication and public relations skills are preferred. Will travel throughout NW Ohio and Southern Michigan . Will be requested to drive company vehicle to mobile locations. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Must be able to work flexible hours. Position requires standing for long periods of time and some heavy lifting. Must have basic computer skills.
